Ian:
The bahamas has a lot of "secret" breaks, just explore a bit. Rum Cay has a few very nice breaks, on the north side and east side (reef) and the west end is a nice sandy bottom right. My brother lived there for 5 years and scored great surf during the winter on a regular basis. You wont find any crowds, and lets keep it that way. I surfed the BVIs a lot,(living in St John) Apple Bay is a great spot and the crowd is usually small and pretty easy. Sandy Key can get good surf as well, and you can anchor on the south side. Further up Tortola(east of A Bay) you can find a few great isolated breaks - lava flows, etc.
Randy, didnt know you are a fellow longboarder?
Mike
