Spare Sails For Offshore?

My second questions relates to spare sails.

Are there any recomendations as to what spares should be carried?

One of each? Main, Yankee and Stay?

Jim Focha and Julie Gwin

We will not carry spare sails when we leave this summer, but our sails are new. We will carry a crusing spinniker, drifter, storm tri and possiblly a storm jib. Although we have had the boat 13 yrs, we had the tri and storm jib stored and just took them out of the bag. They appear to be brand new and never used. We're thinking of having the storm jib's luff replaced to use on a roller fuller, as we have a roller fuller on the staysail.

FLASH... Large inventory of used sailboat equipment, parts & supplies at great prices. After a 10-year circumnavigation in a Westsail 43, the owners are now clearing out all the excess and getting back to life ashore. Outfit your boat with well-kept equipment and save yourself a bunch of cash in the process!
