What

Best Depth Transducer For W-32??

Brian Smith

I seem to have two old and non-functioning depth transducers on ORION- one an actual through hull fitting
just above and starboard of the water tanks under the sole-
the second an epoxy'd on (i.e no actual 'hole' in the hull) just aft of that but quite a bit higher (no way in hell it's going to find a bottom, pointing off at 30 or so!)

So, what's a good depth meter choice for the W-32? And where best to mount?? I would prefer NOT to drill another
hole- (or not to have to even haul her out for it)

I don't thinK the brand is that important, but I would stick to a major one. We used the Raymarine ST-60. We hauled and filled the existing hole and mounted the transducer on the inside of the hull. We also have the fishfinder module for our
C-80 and the second transducer will be mounted inside the hull.
