Shipping From Philippines

G'day Bud,thanks for your tech. manual and all the advice I get from here.I have an Atkins Eric in the Philippines and after a total refit had intended to sail to the States.Fate has intervened and following a recent hip replacement I have the balance of a drunk and this has cramped my ocean voyaging abilities a lot. Thus I'm contemplating sea-freighting the boat to the US and fulfill my dream that way.
I'm presently here at home in Australia but will return to Cebu in a few weeks to sort a few things out and see how it evolves. The boat is truly a work of art now and I'm loathe to deal with shippers without some recommendation.
Any advice from yourself or fellow Westsailors would be appreciated - probably look at offloading in LA or San Diego.
Many thanks James Butterfield

James, Sorry, I do not have any recommendations on shipping companies. I know some owners that have shipped by Dockwise. They they flood their ship, float yours to its location aboard, tie it down with jackstands under it, then pump out the water to float their ship. This relieves the nescessity of unrigging and packing your boat, and having a cradle made up. I understand that you can go along on the trip, aboard your boat if you wish.
