Angled Winches

The reason they have been changed is to prevent overrides on the winch.

Inalla, my W32, has the winches mounted at perhaps a fifteen or so degree angle back from vertical. I can see where the old mounting holes were, so at one time they were vertical, but I don't understand why they were changes. When I tack, the sheet sometimes rides down and around the mounting bracket, which makes things interesting with more than a gentle breeze blowing.

Anyone else have this situation on their boat? should I remount the winches so that they're vertical?
