Twin Headsails

Greg and Joyce Parfitt

anyone out there done this or have any input on flying twin headsails

My boat has a set of twin headsails/tradewind downwind sails (apparently like the Island Girl boat, whose skipper wrote the book on self-steering systems, I want to say Blondie Hassler, but am pretty sure Hasler was a predecessor to this guy). Also have the associated poles. Haven't set them up yet but am dying for an excuse to do it.
Any specific questions? I did make drawings of the sail dimensions if that would help you.

Have been giving this a lot of thought just seems to be a more manageable system especially for us older folks that don't really want the hassle of working with a spinnaker with short handed crew. Was talking with Dave King last night and he has not tried it but also thought it was a good plan with twin grooved roller furling you could just t slack sheets and roll whole mess up poles and all. Would be handy for squalls. Wow guess I got a little wordy starting to get exited as departure date is this summer

I don't know how this would compare from a cost standpoint, but have you considered a parasail2 spinnaker?
