Davit For Tender On W32????

Has anyone installed a davit on a W32? It would need to clear the windvain so I assume it would stick out a bit. I want to try to keep the deck as clear as possible.

Because the W32 comes to a point aft, and it has an outboard rudder, there is not enough room or spread to be able to install davits. You need to have an inflatable, or carry a dinghy on the cabintop in chocks.

Can a small boat (14') be put on a davit for a 47' Gibson Houseboat? The boat we are looking at (to use as a tender) weighs approximately 1200 lbs. Is there a davit that can be mounted to the swim platform that will hold up to 1500 lbs.? If so, where?
Thank you so much!

Sounds like the load is more than any commercially available davits can handle. You could have one custom made by a fabricator to be able to handle that load. You will need to have the mounting location also designed to take the load stress.
