Compass Ideas For W32

Randell 'Randy' Kocurek

May have lost the old Danforth bulkhead mounted compass and lovely bronze ring, during an extended boatyard stay. It may have been a Danforth Saturn. Seems like I amy have seen that name.
Am starting to look at possible new replacement. Any ideas?
Am looking at a Danforth or Richie, bulkhead mount, just online shopping so far, but open to other ideas.
Richie seems to be a great product, although I'd have to refit more extensively, it seems. A WOA member already wrestled with the required true vertical installation on his Richie. A teak wedge.
I think my best deal may be the new Danforth Saturn model which is AOK for vertical or up to 15 degrees forward slope from vertical installation. Maybe that's why my prior owner installed one like it. I am thinking it would probably fit the old installation well, and probably even the hole size.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I think pricewise, they are similar at around $250, with the Danforth a little less and the Richie a little more.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Randy, Check out the Plastimo Contest 101 compass. It can be mounted on an angled bulkhead, but the major advantage is that it can be read from the inside of the cabin as well as from the outside.

Whoo, cool! Will do and right away. Seemed like such a waste to have the box over the interior space of the old Danforth, anyway.
Bud, you're fab!

I like that compass, but I wonder which card to get.
I suppose black with black dial is most uv resistant and hardest to read.

Get a compass card that is easy to read. Also use an exterior cover over the compass to protect it from the sunlight.
