W32 Jibs For Sale

Tom and Dana Stiffler

I have two jibs one looks like it has never been used(Standard Sails) the other is in very good shape. If anyone is interested email me for details.

I got the opportunity to lay out both sails for close inspection and
measurements. It is now apparent that both sails have had some use. I
thought one was unused but that was incorrect upon closer inspection. Photos are available for interested parties.

There are two sails, a 130 Genoa and a smaller
Yankee. They are hanked on and made by Starboard Sails. The Genoa is the older of the two
but looks to be in pretty good shape with a few rust stains and several
small patches. The stitching is good and there were no signs of serious
chaffing. It measured:
Leech 39' 5"
Luff 40' 3"
Foot 21' 6"

This would be about 400+ sq feet or a 130.

The Yankee is newer and in very good shape with no patches and only a
slight rust stain. No serious wear or chaffing with good stitching and
fabric. It measured:
Leech: 24'3"
Luff 32'2"
Foot 15'

This would be around 225 sq feet.

Considering the condition and age of the sails and the cost of new ones I
propose the following:
The Genoa is depreciated 75%. Based on a new cost of $2000 that works out to
$500. I will sell it for $400.

The Yankee is depreciated 50% based on a new cost of $1400 that would equal
$700. I will sell it for $600.

I will sell both for $900 plus shipping (about $100 more or less but you
will pay only what I pay and will get the best rate from FedEx Ground
insured).
