What is the best sail slug size/model for the 44' mast?

Aaron Norlund

Which mast? Internal or external track? I've seen about ten different brands of masts on W32s, with everything from intern 1/2" slugs to external Harken tracks, to full-length internal boltropes.

Let us know what type and we can be of more help

Gee, I thought there was only two different masts for the 32. Mine has an internal track with a 5/16" slot. I do believe that my mast is a replacement for the original, installed by the owner before the guy who sold me the boat.

If your mast has two internal flat tracks, then it is a LeFiell mast, and the flat plastic slides are the ones to use. If it has a round internal track then you will need the round plastic slugs, preferably with a wire loop on them.

My mast has an internal track in which I have been using round plastic slugs. I assume that means it is round internally. It also has an external track for the trysail.
