Staysail Tack

The cables with a ring at each end are pendants. You will want to get your jib up in the air a bit so as to be able to see easily under it and to get it above the bow pulpit. To do this, shackle one end of maybe a 2' or 3' pendant to the same eye as the forestay is attached and the other end to the cringle at the foot of the jib.

I have a Westsail that is new to me and cannot figur e out how to attach the bottom of the jib to the stay or?? I have some cables with rings on them and one with a clip but can't figure where to clip them. Anyone have any ideas?
