Outboard Motors

Gerald Astrella and Cathy Calisch

Where do 32 owners secure that outboard for the dingy when underway?

Bud Taplin

Put a board across the legs of the boom gallows.

Dave Kall

On our 32 we had ( with the newer deck mold. I cut a hole in the bottom of the lazarette and built a small 2 x 6 x 8" engine mount and attached it. We droped and secured the engine in there. I also had refashioned a floor piece for the locker when the engine was out. And we had an Evenrude 10 (same size as the 15) that all I needed to do was turn it sideways, remove one bolt for the handle and it fit perfectly! Help me make sure the handle stayed lubricated.

Thanks for the tips. Glorious is one of the older deck molds so we go with the boom gallows. Besides it just sounds right to say that the motor is hanging from the gallows!
