Gary,

I just remembered - we have a Barient 10 for the reefing winch, and our stays'l halyard. Barient 16s on the main and jib halyards, small Lewmar single speeds for stays'l sheets, and Barient 22s for jib sheets.

Just as Norm said - yeah, the little winch works fine going downwind. I mean, it might have trouble trying to haul the clew of your double reef in a 60kt squall...but hopefully you're more prepared. If not, head up and let some tension off.

Cheers,
Aaron N.

FLASH... Large inventory of used sailboat equipment, parts & supplies at great prices. After a 10-year circumnavigation in a Westsail 43, the owners are now clearing out all the excess and getting back to life ashore. Outfit your boat with well-kept equipment and save yourself a bunch of cash in the process!
