Dog-N-Dive makes a nice telescoping ladder in 3,4,5,& 6 step sizes that pulls up to 15" and can be bungeed to the stern pulpit or amidship to a stanchion. They have a folding platform which makes dingy boarding easy. Defender sells them for between $200-300. For the stern mount configuration you need a 5 step one and should use a 3/4-1" teak block shim under the forward mounting bracket to make the ladder perpendicular to the waterline due to the rake of the boomkin(wood I assume). This is what I'm using. When I finish installing it I'll try to post a picture.

FLASH... Large inventory of used sailboat equipment, parts & supplies at great prices. After a 10-year circumnavigation in a Westsail 43, the owners are now clearing out all the excess and getting back to life ashore. Outfit your boat with well-kept equipment and save yourself a bunch of cash in the process!
