great news, oh brethren of the westie:

****
Dear Pat

Good news!
Since the group is now so important, the discount will be 25%. On the
other hand, the quantity of windvanes to fabricate (along with the
regular production) will push deliveries into the fall. We are now
working on 12 units and we'll be very busy until the end of June. It is
only then that we'll be able to start producing the group's windvanes.
So everybody has until the end of June to send their deposit and the
group can of course increase until then.
Also, if you or somebody from the owner's group could send me a nice
picture of a Westsail (it would be the fantastic if our vane would be
on) so I could make a little thank you message on my website welcome
page for the group buy. (erics@caphorn.com)

Thanks to everyone
Éric

Eugene was the member that had only provided his email; Mick is #11.

Please thank Jean for his kindness regarding pricing. I'll pass the good news on immediately. I can assure you that we'll be sending plenty of photos and thanks north!

i was going to ask how many orders were needed before we got them for free, but decided not to press the nice people.

based on input from members, it appears the deposit is $500. at this point, i think it's appropriate that we work with them individually (www dot capehorn dot com). jean and eric have our names, but if you were just lurking and now want in, just tell them you're with the band. those of you that have seen their vane in action know what a lovely piece of work it is - those of you that are simply crossing your fingers won't be disappointed. thanks to everyone that jumped in, allowing cape horn to bend so far on the discount!
