Brian,

I've never heard a thing bad about Cape Horn vanes from anyone who owns one. Not a thing. They're bulletproof and as good as, if not better than, monitors. They certainly have a cleaner looking installation on boomkins than monitors.

Something to consider; I am not comfortable working on my vane while underway due to not having a stern pulpit. We're eventually going to replace our boomkin with Buds stainless and definitely intend to have the pulpit. Especially on the stainless (read slippery) boomkin, I think you'll find a pulpit is a nice addition.

Cheers,
Aaron N.
