Thanks for the info, Aaron, about the Aries - that seems like a good starting to me too - I might set it lower to get interest in it with a reserve of $1000.00 and see what happens...

As for the seawater strainer, Like it says in the auction, I ended up rebuilding the original one - the bronze rods had corroded through and fell apart when I tried to take it apart for cleaning - I replaced them with stainless steel all-thread, made new gaskets, and reinstalled - it's working fine now... The new one is a bit taller and narrower than the old one - mine is installed on the port side just forward of the engine and easy to reach from the cabin...
