The factory normally put a hole through the mast base and the cabintop in line with the stainless pipe used as an internal support. That hole should go all the way through to the bottom plate just under the cabin sole. The I beam should be 1-1/2" below the plate, and there should be 1-1/2" of spacers on each side between the bottom plate of the mast post and the I beam. The spacers have a gap between them to allow the wiring to come out above the beam.
