Stephen and Lu Ann Yoder

On my previous boat, a Jay Benford yawl, I had nothing but 3-strand line. I don't know if it was polyester or not. The boat, although only 23', displaced 8,900 lbs. She was gaff-rigged and very old-fashioned looking (deadeyes/lanyards instead of turnbuckles for instance). Since she was my first boat, I didn't know any difference but I never had a bit of trouble with the 3-strand as running rigging. If I rememeber right, the halyards, sheets, etc. were all 1/2".

Congratulations on your purchase. Now comes the fun part.

FLASH... Large inventory of used sailboat equipment, parts & supplies at great prices. After a 10-year circumnavigation in a Westsail 43, the owners are now clearing out all the excess and getting back to life ashore. Outfit your boat with well-kept equipment and save yourself a bunch of cash in the process!
