A useful tool for deep cycle Batteries is a desulator. This reverses the sulfation that occurs from incomplete charging. Usually these units are expensive but through my father-in law (an aviation maven) I learned about this unit which is very reasonable ~$20. Find it at: http://www.geocities.com/powertugs/eaa79parts.html

Problem is that we need some more folks to express interest to get another manufacturing run. They sold out very quickly in the last month, Mr. Barker will set up another run if enough people are interested. Even if you don't get this one, using one can extend the life of your batteries

FLASH... Large inventory of used sailboat equipment, parts & supplies at great prices. After a 10-year circumnavigation in a Westsail 43, the owners are now clearing out all the excess and getting back to life ashore. Outfit your boat with well-kept equipment and save yourself a bunch of cash in the process!
