Chris,

I would recommend putting the radar dome on a small pole mounted on the starboard boomkin, with a brace tube going forward to the boom gallows, and another going down to the port boomkin. The backstay mount causes vibration and strain on the backstay, with the possibility of work hardening the strands, and failure of the backstay wire. My opinion only.
