The blue thing in the picture is one side of the travelift. We did the installation while hauled out. I recommend this as I tend to lose nuts and bolts when I'm doing anything over the water. Also, the lower strut supports are awfully close to the waterline to be operating a drill.

The main problem with my installation was that the instructions are pretty poor and I didn't have a very good picture of what the finished product should look like. Ultimately, everything you need to know is in the instruction book somewhere. Finding it, or even knowing you need to find something isn't always so easy. Having a good clear picture of a finished installation would help immensely as the photos in the instruction book are mostly grainy and hard to see. Eric and Yves at Cape Horn were very helpful and responsive to e-mails.

All that being said, there's nothing particularly tricky about the installation. Need a good way to support the unit while installing the struts. Since I was hauled out I was able to set it on a scaffold. Could probably have just tied it off to the boom gallows if it weren't for the wet varnish.

If you are installing a Varuna, use my photo as a guide. If installing a Toucana, maybe one of the other folks who participated in the group buy could post a photo.

Good luck.
